Colossians 1:9-12 

Believers are called to intercede for one another. The single most important prayer request for us to make on one another’s behalf, is for spiritual maturity. While we are also instructed to pray for one another temporary and physical burdens, the bulk of our prayers are often on earthly matters rather than eternal concerns. We should instead follow Paul’s example in praying for the Colossians.
