1 Peter 2:13-17 

Through Christ we are reborn as citizens of a new kingdom. The governments and rulers of this earth have no real hold on us, but Peter calls us to freely submit to every institution set up among men. We submit out of our love for Christ so that nonbelievers can find no excuse for slandering the church, and so the name of Christ. Our real law is love and that will lead us show respect and obedience to government laws and leaders.
