Matthew 5:33-37

As citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, we are called to absolute truthfulness. This means speaking without deception, and keeping our commitments - whatever the cost. We are not to construct “loopholes” to try and excuse our dishonesty like the Scribes and Pharisees did with their elaborate system to nullify their oaths.
